The initiative was launched under the leadership of the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, and in accordance with the vision of the Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, with special acknowledgment of the efforts of Syeda Amnah Batool, who was entrusted by the Honourable Speaker National Assembly to liaise with the National Information Technology Board (NITB) and chaired a series of consultative meetings focused on developing an integrated digital ecosystem for the Speaker’s Office. The ceremony was attended by Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Syed Amin-ul-Haque, parliamentarians, senior officials of the National Information Technology Board (NITB), media representatives, and other distinguished dignitaries. The event featured the demonstration and launch of the AI-Enabled Parliamentary System and AI-Powered Digital Transformation of the Speaker’s Office. Developed in close collaboration with the National Information Technology Board, the initiative significantly enhanced parliamentary efficiency by facilitating Members in conducting the Business of the House in a more streamlined, structured, and technology-enabled manner. It introduced a secure, 100% on-premises AI platform exclusively designed for parliamentary use, ensuring complete data sovereignty with all parliamentary data hosted within Pakistan and fully controlled by the National Assembly, thereby strengthening institutional security, autonomy, and trust in digital governance.
